Are you talking to Him like a real person? Or are you talking to Him religiously?

If Jesus were to come to you today in person and sit down with you - would you talk to Him the way you currently pray to Him?

I doubt it.

Do you think the disciples talked with Jesus in spiritualese? These guys were definitely not the spiritual high & mighty's of their day. They were fishermen, tax collectors, zealots, etc. Real people living in the real word. Using real everyday language.

The praying we've been used to is what happens in church, where the more spiritual sounding the better and the more you are looked up to. So we've been programmed to think that's what prayer is supposed to look like. I'm not blaming anyone - this has been going on for centuries.

But that is not how you have a real relationship with someone.

That kind of talking gets in the way of being able to be real with each other. It makes us see God as someone He really isn't - someone who is distant from us, far above us.

Jesus said, "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." (John 14:9) Jesus was the full expression of God. And He was living with us, talking with us, teaching us.

When Jesus returned to the Father, He said the disciples would be better off than having Him there in physical person.

Why?

Because God's plan was to send the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us - 24/7/forever. Our bodies/minds/spirits would become the temple or dwelling place of God. He wanted to come and live with us - all day, every day!

In other words He wanted to be that close to us that He could be part of everything that is part of our lives. He wanted to be our Father who loves us, our Teacher, our Helper, our Provider, our Beloved, our best Friend, and so much more.

If God's desire is to live with us, don't you think relationship and fellowship would be meant to be a major part of that? John said, "that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ." (1 John 1:3)

He is in you so He can talk WITH you.

This is the thing, The Secret Key, that has been so missing for so long - being able to hear God's voice so you can communicate with Him, talk with Him like a real person.

Yes, He is God, the all-powerful Lord and King of the universe, and worthy of all praise and honor. But He is also our Father who loves us and wants to be with us, in us, and for us.

Learn to hear His voice, so you can get to know Him - the REAL God, not the false one we have been mistakenly lead to think He is.

The more you get to KNOW who He really is, the more you will love and honor, reverence and respect Him, without even trying - it will just be what flows from your heart because it is that alive in you!
